WebTV Tip: Use 'Options - Reload' Frequently!
Sometimes, when you view a page on ItsYourTurn.com, you see old information on that page. You might see a Game Status page that shows a game on the wrong player's turn to move; or you might open a game board and, instead of seeing the current move, you see a previous move in the game.
You can correct this problem if you reload the page. Use 'Options - Reload' on your WebTV unit.
The problem is caused when WebTV stores pages from ItsYourTurn.com in a cache. When you view pages, WebTV tries to save time by showing you the pages from the cache instead of loading pages from our site. But this can cause you to see old or incorrect information. Reloading the page should load a correct page from our site.

Your WebTV will probably work best on ItsYourTurn.com if you do the following things:
- Turn off Background Music
- Turn off Messenger
Also, you may want to unplug the power cord from your WebTV for about 5 minutes every couple of days.

WebTV: I keep returning to the login page. It says, 'You must log in to perform this function.'
If you are using WebTV and you keep returning to the login page with the message 'You must log in to perform this function,' then there is a problem with how a little file called a 'cookie' is being handled. This could be caused by a problem in a WebTV cookie server, or it could be caused if more than one account on ItsYourTurn.com is accessed from your WebTV unit.
Problem with WebTV cookie server: You might be able to tell if there is a problem with a WebTV cookie server if you go to this WebTV status page. If you see a yellow or red symbol next to 'Cookies,' then there is a problem in a WebTV cookie server. You should contact WebTV about that.
More than One Account: If you use your WebTV unit to access more than one account on ItsYourTurn.com, then that could be the cause of this login problem. To prevent this problem, you should have a separate WebTV User Account for each ItsYourTurn.com account. Before you log on to an ItsYourTurn.com, be sure you are logged on to WebTV through the correct WebTV User Account.
Here is how to create new accounts on your WebTV unit:
- Log on to WebTV through the primary account, the first one that was created on it. On the Home page, click 'Settings' in the second row of options.
- You will see a list of options. Choose 'Extra Users.'
- Follow the simple steps from there to create a new account.
When you have a separate WebTV account set up for each player on ItsYourTurn.com, each player should log on to his or her own WebTV account, then come to our front page at
http://www.itsyourturn.com
and log in with his or her userid and password. The correct Game Status page for that player should appear. Add the Game Status page to the Favorites on that WebTV account so that it can be accessed easily.
From then on, only log on to ItsYourTurn.com from the corresponding WebTV account.

The link in my email reminder doesn't work. How do I get to my game?
The links that we send in email reminders do not work with all email programs. If it doesn't work on yours, one thing you can do is keep the link to your game status page in the Favorites or Bookmarks in your browser, and just use that link to access your games whenever you get an email reminder from us.
Or, you can use your mouse to copy the link in the email, then paste it in your browser address window, then hit 'Enter' on your keyboard. That would take you directly to the game.
