How do I delete cookies in AOL or Internet Explorer browsers?

Answer: Deleting your cookies can correct some login problems on ItsYourTurn.com. The easiest way to delete or manage your cookies is to download a cookie manager program. You can find a list of them here:
http://www.webveil.com/cookietools.html

However, if you prefer to delete your cookies manually, below are detailed instructions on how to delete cookies in the AOL browser and in Microsoft Internet Explorer version 5, 5.01, or 5.5 for Windows 95, 98, NT 4.0, or 2000. The first step is different for AOL and Internet Explorer, but the rest of the steps are the same.

  1. For Microsoft IE: Look in the menu bar at the top and click ‘Tools’ and choose ‘Internet Options.’

For AOL Browser: Click ‘My AOL’ and choose ‘Preferences.’ A window will open. Click ‘WWW.’

  2. A box will open. Choose the ‘General’ tab at the top and look under ‘Temporary Internet Files.’ Click ‘Settings.’
  3. Click ‘View Files.’
  4. Another box will open showing many folders. On the top menu, click ‘View’ and choose ‘Details.’
  5. Click the ‘Internet Address’ column header and look at the lists under that column. Find the files that say ‘Cookie.’
  6. The cookies for ItsYourTurn.com have ‘iyt.dll’ or ‘itsyourturn.com’ in the file name. Usually the cookie file name will start with 'Cookie:', but be sure to delete the cookie that starts with 'iyt.dll'-- this is the one you want to delete. Click the icon on the left of the cookie name, then click ‘Delete’ in the menu at the top of the window.
  7. After you have deleted the ItsYourTurn.com cookie, close all windows of your browser. It might even help to shut down your computer at this point. Then get everything running again and come back to our site. Please let us know if you still have trouble logging in to our site: contact us using our online contact form.

Instructions on how to delete cookies on all Microsoft browsers (Internet Explorer) are here.
