[ back to top ] Ignoring Offensive or Obnoxious Players ItsYourTurn.com provides an Ignore function that prevents all messages from a certain player from appearing on your computer screen. You will not see private messages sent by that player, or his postings on the message boards. You will be able to play games with that player, but you will not see messages that he sends with moves. To activate Ignore on a player, view his User Profile or any message that he has sent to you or posted on the message board. Scroll down and click 'Ignore this user.' The note will appear above the game board every time you open the game. You can change or delete the note at any time. Your opponent never sees the note. To learn how to do this, read this question. [ back to top ] Changing the Style of Graphics for Each Different Type of Game For many of the different games on ItsYourTurn.com, you can choose a style of game board graphics. You can choose a size or look that is better for you, or you can use different styles to help you tell variations apart from each other. To do this, look under 'Spy' in the left-side menu column and click 'Search user profiles.' On the next page, scroll down to the lower portion with the heading 'Search for Users by Categories.' There, you can fill in a type of game, a state, or a country and click 'Submit.' You can even fill in more than one category so that you can find all chess players from Russsia, for instance. ItsYourTurn.com offers a Biographical Information page where you can enter interesting facts about your family, your interests, your favorite movies, and other aspects of your life. You can use our Tell a Friend feature to send postcards to other people on the Internet telling them about ItsYourTurn.com. The postcard invites your friend to register on our site and play a game with you. Here is how to send the postcard: Look under 'Talk' in the left-side menu column and click 'Tell a Friend.' On the next page, click a postcard design that you like. Fill in your name, your friend's name, and your friend's email address; choose a game to play with your friend; then type an optional message. Click 'Preview' at the bottom of the page. You will see a page showing how your postcard will look to your friend. Scroll down and click 'Submit' at the bottom of the page. You will receive an email asking for verification that your own email address is valid. You must click a link in that email address to send the postcard.
